December was a busy month for us! In an attempt to reclaim our house from the landslide of kids' toys, we decided to make Anna's old room a play room and move her to our old guest room.
She picked out the paint (the one color I was hoping she wouldn't pick!). The best word to describe it is EXTREME. These pictures don't do it justice.

The "after" shot. I kept thinking I would snap a picture when the room was picked up, but it's so rarely that way that I finally just took this:

Anna went to Parker's 5th birthday party. Wow. How did they get so old?
Angelina was also there!
On Christmas eve, we stayed at home because Drew had a bleeding ear infection- ouch! He was in NO mood to party or go to church. We gave the kids glow sticks. The room was dark, but apparently I have an awesome flash. While we were putting Drew in the bathtub, Anna tested to see if the glowy stuff really is non-toxic. Conclusion: it tastes terrible and chewing on glow sticks is not a good idea. Also, the glow goo looks awesome on the sofa, carpet, and light switches.
Santa came and left beanbag chairs and cool toys. I didn't take any stills and the movies are too big to upload on blogger. I have limited skills.
We went to New Orleans for Christmas dinner. My parents hosted this year in the (almost) completed house. Everyone gave Anna this really awesome doll house, complete with a flushing toilet, working piano, elevator, and lights. It took the better part of 3 hours to put together, which may or may not have been hindered by the fact that the engineers undertook this task at 3 am after drinking.

Uncle Mike, Shaun, and Drew (or D-Shaun, as Mike calls him). Drew napped all through dinner, but woke up ready to party, after he had a lot of turkey.
Aunt Amy helped Anna paint the princess mirror she got in addition to the dollhouse.
After dinner and dessert was cleaned up, it was party time! Drew was a party animal.
Anna kept the couch from flying away. She comes by it honestly.
Everyone wanted to dance with Drew!
The DVD player in the playroom quit working. Shaun took it apart and found out why.
We drove to Florida to stay with Carl and MJ. The weather was great and we spent a lot of time on the beach. Drew did not like the sand very much.
Anna LOVED it!
Drew got tired after a while, so he took a nap.
Anna eventually ended up taking off most of her clothes.
We went over to the Track one afternoon to play. Anna was so excited about the go-carts!

Anna got dizzy on the little carousel. Good thing Shaun went on it with the kids. I would have been in big trouble.
Marrain Amy came over for a visit too! She recently completed a half-Ironman and a marathon!
