On Monday morning (6/8), we drove to Cooperstown, NY and stayed at my Aunt Emily and Uncle Nick's house.
While Anna's cousins were in school on Tuesday, we went out to a sandwich shop for lunch. We saw several people from Louisiana there whose kids were at the Dreams Park for baseball. Anna ate salt and pepper.

In the barn there are lots of animals. As part of a state repopulation project, the Nolans raise baby pheasants. Here is Catherine holding (terrorizing) one of the pheasants.
Anna liked the pheasants, but she REALLY liked finding (planted) eggs in the chicken coop.
Claire is so photogenic!
There was LOTS of room to run amok in the fields.

Catherine sold us some (pretend) strawberry scones from the window of the Hairy Men's Club.

On Wednesday, Stephanie let the kids play hooky from school and we went to the Farmer's Museum. Anna got to milk a fake cow with a little help from Cate.
They had a section where you could dress up in old-timey style clothes and take a picture.
Here is an old watering trough turned wishing well. Anna thought it should be a water fountain and we had a tough time keeping her from drinking the water inside.
Then we rode the carousel. Instead of horses, it had all different kinds of animals. Anna rode a pig for a little while, then we sat on a stationary swan.
We ate ice cream cones after dinner that night. I'd have to say that Stephanie is the best ice cream cone stuffer that exists.

Francis and Luke sang a version of "For What It's Worth" to Anna, changing the lyrics to something about eating cheerios and getting sent to bed.
