Hurricane Vacation!

I know, the title of this post is a huge oxymoron. When Gustav hit, we did not have power or school for a week. We figured that we would have to make up the days later during our scheduled vacations, so we took a vacation from the hurricane at the beach.

We stayed at the Sieckmann's beach house for a couple of days. The media did not give BR any attention- things were pretty bad here...no power, huge oak trees ripped out of the ground, no food or gas. It was HOT and muggy. We LOVE A/C!!

Here is Anna getting dressed up in my pj's and Mrs. Sieckmann's slipper. She is so ridiculous!!
